Have you ever found yourself somewhere wishing you had a pad and paper so you could write down the details of a great idea you’d just come up with? To be entirely fair, you wouldn’t want to try to write your entire master’s thesis or get your entire manuscript for the next great American novel in here. For one thing, this is really for smaller documents, maybe a few pages long. You wouldn’t really want to scroll through page after page of text on a really long document on your iPhone anyway.
Aside from the ability to synchronize your files with your computer, which is probably a good enough reason in itself to get WriteRoom, you can also share your documents over wi-fi, so if you take some notes during a meeting you can share them with your coworker who forgot the details of his action item.
If you use a Mac, WriteRoom may feel familiar as it was inspired by the Mac application of the same name, and has a similar, simple feel.
And once you master the two thumb technique for typing you’ll be surprised by the speed that is possible in typing up a quick document. You’ll never achieve the speeds possible with a full sized keyboard and ten finger typing, but you may just surprise yourself.
