There are a few different factors causing this to happen. For one, if you’re not under contract with a telecoms company, certain backend application processes that use up a lot of battery power were left running on a continual basis when you had the phone unlocked. If you do have a contract, you might be able to immediately solve your problem by turning off applications such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when they’re not in use as these take up a lot of energy.

The iPhone uses a rechargeable lithium ion battery that is built directly into the unit and is supposed to last approximately 300 hours in standby mode, 12 hours in talk mode, 30 hours in audio playback mode, and 10 hours in video playback mode. Every time Apple upgrades its firmware, the reduction of battery usage by back ground processes is among the most desired results. It is also expected that this life decreases by about twenty percent after approximately five hundred charges.

Apple recommends standardizing the battery by performing a complete charging cycle at least once per month. This entails draining the battery completely through use and then charging it fully. It is important to maintain your iPhone’s battery since it is completely embedded within the body of phone and can therefore not be replaced.

Because of the need to maintain iPhone batteries for the entire life of the phone itself, there are many different products one can purchase to keep their battery charged at all times. These chargers are designed to suit every circumstance, so that no iPhone owner will ever be left without a source.

One of the more innovative portable chargers available on the market lately is the solar powered battery charger, which converts sunlight alone into energy to charge your iPhone battery. An excellent feature of the solar powered charger is its ability to store energy as a back up charge for later use when your battery is already fully charged.

Another popular charger for iPhones is a 2 in 1 charger that can be plugged into either an electrical socket or a computer’s USB port. This is a convenient way to charge your iPhone battery while at home or at work.

The first Walkman was developed in Japan and released in 1979. Since then, the term Walkman has been used by Sony as a generic term for portable music. Now, the geniuses from Sony Ericsson added a modern touch to the Walkman, by creating their new line of Walkman Phones. By the fourth quarter of 2007, they will release the Sony Ericsson W910i. With this beauty, we can all be sure that Walkmans will never be the same again.

The W910i is a slide phone that comes in heart red or noble black finish. The dimensions are 99.5 x 50 x 12.5 millimeters, and it weighs 86 grams. The LCD screen has 240 x 320 pixels resolution and displays 262,000 colors. The internal memory of the W910i is 40MB, and it supports Memory Stick Micro, which has 1GB of memory. The Lithium Ion battery has a talk time of 9 hours and standby time of over 16 days.

Here is a run through of some basics on the W910i. It has calendar, to-do lists, voice memo, timer, flight mode, notes, alarm, and calculator. The W910i has HSDPA, EDGE, and GPRS as its packet data. Internet surfing and downloading can be done at broadband speeds. You can send Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Message Service (MMS), email, and chat with this unit. Predictive text entry helps simplify inputting data. The phone has Bluetooth connectivity and USB support, so you can synchronize your phone with your laptop or desktop PC. You can also personalize your phone with screensavers, animated wallpapers, and ring tones that are mp3 or polyphonic format.

The Sony Ericsson W910i houses a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera with 2.5x zoom. The camera can take photos for picture blogging, as well as video with audio. This mobile phone proudly publicizes its music player ability with the Walkman 3.0. After all, it’s not called a Walkman Phone for nothing. It can play songs in mp3, AAC, AAC+, and m4a format. The music player can organize and categorize songs with the SensMe feature. With SensMe, songs can be classified by style, not just by artist or album. The TrackID feature lets you view the details of each song as it is playing. Also, the W910i has shake control, which lets you pick a song randomly just by flicking your wrist.

For more entertainment, there are also 3D and Java games included and downloadable for the W910i. The shake control also works well with gamers, as moving the phone can be an alternative to pressing the directional keys. You can view the games in portrait or landscape orientation. The W910i has a built-in FM radio. You can also watch streaming video on the large LCD screen.

The price for this unit has not been released yet, but we can expect it to be out in the United States before the Christmas holidays. By 2008, the W910i is expected to be released in Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific regions.

Tons of models out there pack in tons of features, too, but they do cripple the wallet. Samsung is smart enough to offer affordable options for mobile fanatics, without sacrificing quality and usability. In the third quarter of 2007, Samsung introduced us to the Samsung Blast SGH-T729. Read on and know the tricks this phone has up its sleeve, and you might have a blast with it.

The Blast is a slim slide phone in black and red finish, and measures 4.16 x 2.04 x 0.50 inches. It weighs only 2.9 ounces, making it easy to carry in a pocket or in a purse without adding excess bulk. The Lithium Ion battery has a talk time of 5 hours and standby time of 8.3 days. The Blast has a SureType keyboard, and has volume controls on the left spine, and camera buttons on the right. T-Mobile distributes this unit at $99 with subscription.

The SGH-T729 has a 2 inch LCD screen that displays 262,000 colors and a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The brightness of the backlight can be adjusted. The Blast has a 1.3 mega pixel camera with digital zoom which can be accessed by sliding the phone up. Photos can be taken in seven resolutions or shot in night mode. Photo quality can be edited using balance adjustments, color effects, and one of 30 fun frames. There is also a self-timer and self-portrait mirror. The camcorder can record clips for MMS for 1 minute and 15 seconds. The length of videos can vary depending on available memory. The internal memory of the Blast is only 11MB, but it can be expanded with separately-sold microSD cards.

The Samsung Blast runs on EDGE packet data, and allows high speed web surfing, email, and downloading. T-Mobile equips its phones with instant access to AOL and Yahoo! Mail. You can also sync the Blast with your PC for file transfer. The Blast’s phonebook can store 1000 contact names, each having five phone numbers, email address, and notes. Contacts can be tagged with polyphonic ring tones or photo ID. Other PDA functions of the Blast are voice memo, calendar, to-do list, world clock, unit converter, alarm, and voice commands. You can record voice memos and customize them as ring tones, too.

The multimedia player can play songs in various formats such as mp3 and AAC, plus more can be downloaded from T-Mobile’s service. The Blast comes with three installed Java games: Cannonball, Midnight Casino, and Forgotten Warriors. More can be downloaded over-the-air through T-Mobile’s T-Zones for an additional fee. Skins, themes, tones, wallpapers, and screensavers are also available for download.

The Samsung Blast could use a few improvements in terms of speaker volume. Sound quality was not spectacular, and the music player seemed nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, the price of the Blast is friendly, and you will be getting more for your money with this one.

The Nokia N-Series was welcomed by the world in 2005, with the first three stars: N70, N90, and N91. This new breed of mobile phones from Nokia promises to deliver more improved internet connectivity and a whole new multimedia experience for their consumers.

Released in April 2007, the N95 is unlocked and does not need to be purchased with a subscription. The price, on average, is an astounding $650 in the United States. However, critics and buyers alike have been raving about the amazing abilities that the N95 has to offer. This sliding smart phone may well be Nokia’s ace to date. For starters, here are some basic stats on the phone: it measures 3.9 x. 2.1 x 0.8 inches and weighs 4.2 ounces. It comes with a Lithium Ion battery that has a talk time of 6.5 hours and standby time of about 220 hours. The LCD is a 2.6 inch QVGA screen which can display up to 16 million colors. Internal memory is 160MB, with an included microSD card with 2GB memory.

This phone is a dual-slider, which can be slid upward to reveal the numeric keypad, or slid downward to access the multimedia controls. The N95 has multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, infrared, USB, and SD card. Web browsing and downloading is pretty fast on the N95. Messaging can be done via SMS, MMS, email or instant messenger. The N95 also has GPS support, which is available from many cellular service providers. The phone includes the Quick Office software, which can create and open file formats from Microsoft Office programs.

One of the strongest and most favorite parts of the N95 is its 5.0 mega pixel digital camera with Carl Zeiss optics. The camera can zoom up to 20x, has an LED flash, and can take photos as large as 2592 x 1944 pixels. Photos can be personalized with an included photo editor in the phone, or can be instantly uploaded to Flickr. Videos can be shot at 30 frames per second, and saved as either MP4 or 3GP format. Picture quality was top-rated, as the N95 has a stabilizing feature to prevent fuzzy photos. Plus, video playback is one of the best, as critics would say. Video can be played on TV, as the N95 can be attached to video output cables.

As for audio capabilities, again, the N95 comes out strong. The phone has a 3.5mm headset jack, so users can listen to their tunes with any standard stereo headphone set. On top of that, the N95 allows music lovers to create their own play lists on the phone. Tracks can be sorted by category, artist, or album. Sound quality can be personalized using the equalizer. The N95 also comes with a built-in FM radio.

Although there are a lot of plus points for the N95, many users complain about the weak battery of the phone. There were also some slight delays experienced when the phone switches to camera mode, or opens a file for the media player, and others. Overall, Nokia can work on these bugs and make better with the next N-series member. In the box with the N95 are: video output cable, USB cable, stereo headset, wall charger, and user manual.

Research in Motion (RIM), a Canada-based wireless device company, released their first Blackberry in 1999. They were successful with the model, since it was one of the first to integrate Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Message Service (MMS), and email, and other internet applications in one device. Since then, RIM continues to design innovative products to meet the world’s growing need for wireless communication.

In May 2007, RIM proudly introduced one of their latest models, the Blackberry Curve. According to RIM, the Curve is the smallest and lightest full QWERTY keyboard Blackberry to be released by far. It measures 4.20 x 2.36 x 0.61 inches and has a mass of 3.92 ounces. Also known as the Blackberry 8300, this smart phone has a silver and black finish, with soft-grip edges that make it non-slip and comfy to hold. Aside from the fully-functional QWERTY keyboard with spell checker, the Curve is easily navigated with the trackball system. There is also a huge 2.5 inch LCD screen with 65,000 color display and 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The Curve has a light sensor that automatically adjusts the LCD brightness depending on the external lighting conditions.

What else can this sweet thing do? The back of the Curve has a built-in 2.0 mega pixel digital camera with 5x zoom. The camera includes an LED flash and self-portrait mirror. Photos can be shot in three resolutions, even as large as 1600 x 1200 pixels. Sharing of photos can be done by Bluetooth, MMS, email, USB, or microSD card.

For the multimedia-loving crowd, the Blackberry Curve has something in store, too. It supports audio files in a variety of formats, including mp3, WMA, WAV, MIDI, AAC, and others. Videos in mp4, MOV, AVI, and 3GP formats can also be viewed on the Curve’s large screen. You can save these files on the internal 64MB memory, which you can expand with microSD cards sold separately. Audio can be heard over the speakers or on 3.5 mm headsets. The Lithium Ion battery holds for four hours of talk time or two and a half weeks standby time.

Since the Blackberry line is initially designed for the business crowd, the Curve also carries the convenient email and PC sync features busy individuals need. The smart phone is compatible with Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino, and Novell Groupwise. The phone has an attachment viewer for Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, and various file types.

Some complaints about the Blackberry Curve, though. It runs on EDGE packet data, not as fast as 3G, so if you’re hardcore on downloading, it may be a little disappointing. Web pages take a little longer to load, so waiting can be inconvenient. But with the connection, email, messaging, and voice calls still work out great. The Curve could use some Wi-Fi or 3G enhancements, and the digital camera has yet to be capable of recording video.

The Blackberry Curve package comes with stereo headsets, wall charger, user manual, and case. Other features of the Curve include voice dialing, voice memo, calendar, alarm, and to-do lists. The unit is currently available in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. It’s available for purchase without a service plan.

The phone itself gives you enough reasons why LG Chocolate deserves its sweet and heavenly sounding name. Yet its features are further enhanced with a variety of LG Chocolate accessories that you can integrate into your mobile phone.

Shield Protector Cases
The sliding cover offers enough protection to its touch-sensitive keypads. Nevertheless to further prolong your phone’s life, you need to use shield protector cases. They can fit perfectly to the back and front sides of your phone but don’t conceal its stunning looks. They don’t add additional bulk either. They also have cutouts for the various navigation controls, as well as your side buttons, charger jack, speakers, and camera lens. This is to ensure that you can still utilize essential functions without much of a hassle. They also come with a belt clip that’s easy to attach and remove.

Bluetooth Headsets and Accessories
LG Chocolate can fully support Bluetooth technology. The hands-free headsets can permit you to perform hands-free calling. Actually, Bluetooth is a standard technology, which means that devices that enable Bluetooth can still connect and communicate with each other even if they come from different manufacturers. You can complete the package with Bluetooth adapter dongles in USB form.

This will allow you to connect your PC not only to your handset but with other Bluetooth-enabled gadgets such as cameras, laptops, other PCs, printers, PDAs, LANs, and a lot more.

Stereo Headphones and Adapters.

Aside from its functionality, LG Chocolate is also widely known for its amazing music-playing capabilities. But why keep music to yourself at a very limited volume when you can turn it into a full-blown sound system? You can make use of stereo adapters and headphones for that. They allow you to connect your headset to your home speaker or even any other type of external speaker system. You can even make hands-free calls through these external speakers. Also included is a 3.5-mm input jack.

Lithium-Ion Battery.

LG Chocolate has been criticized for having such a short battery life compared to its other counterparts. Of course, this doesn’t sit well when you’re on the road or when you’re waiting for an important phone call. So why not carry a very handy lithium-ion battery. It can help the phone function to superior performance. Moreover, its integrated circuit ensures you a longer-lasting life for your battery as well as safe operation for your mobile phone. However, there are a couple of factors that can affect the overall standby and talk times. These include the features used, other accessories connected to your phone, performance of your network as well as the overall phone habits of the user.

In the third quarter of 2005, Nextel released the Motorola i850 in the United States market. Since Nextel has been known for their two-way radio features, the i850 is a perfect match for the service provider. Initially selling the unit at $300 with a Nextel plan, it was liked by many busybodies who enjoy the push to talk (PTT) capability on a mobile phone.

The i850 measures 88 x 51 x 28 mm and weighs 120 grams. It’s a clamshell type model with an external extendable antenna. The included Lithium Ion battery can last for 2.75 hours of talk time, or 70 hours of standby time. The Motorola i850 has two LCD screens, the external one in monochrome blue display at 96 x 32 pixels. When flipped open, the inner LCD screen is 176 x 220 pixels and displays over 262,000 colors.

The phone is enabled with Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN) technology from Motorola. iDEn allows users to enjoy the luxury of mobile phone calls, radio communication, pager and data/fax modem in one handheld device. The side of the unit has a PTT button for two-way radio communication. If there is no network available, i850 owners can use it as a walkie-talkie within a range of up to six miles. There is also a group connect feature, where one can use the walkie-talkie function and talk to 20 people all at the same time.

Messaging is not a hassle with the help of the i850. It is capable of Short Message Service (SMS) and Multimedia Message Service (MMS) format. Text input becomes easier with an included T9 dictionary. The i850 also has a calendar and voice memo.

As your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), the i850 has great phonebook organizing skills. It has a phonebook capacity of 600 entries, and each entry can have up to 7 contact numbers plus an email address. Each contact can be marked with picture ID, voice tag, and ringer ID. Calls can be made via voice dialing. The phone also has alert modes like polyphonic ring tones and vibrate mode. Custom ring tones can be added, as the i850 supports mp3, WAV, and MIDI format files.

The Motorola i850 has a 0.3 mega pixel camera with 4x zoom than can take photos at 640 x 480 pixel resolution. Photos captured on the camera can be used as wallpapers and screensavers, or attached to MMS messages. The camera has functions for adjusting light and photo quality, as well as a self-timer from 10 to 20 seconds. Files and photos can be sent to a personal computer (PC) with the PC sync feature. The i850 is also USB compatible.

For the fun lover, the Motorola i850 has built in Java games (Zuma, Aces Hold ‘Em, and Blockbreaker) and applications, but more can be downloaded. The phone package comes with stereo headsets so users can listen to songs on the i850. The inside LCD screen is also compatible for web browsing or watching live TV feeds, depending on the subscription.

The mobile phone industry is perhaps one of the most up-to-date and in demand in the world. New models of mobile phones today seem to be sprouting everywhere at the speed of light. Nearly every month, dozens of better features and upgrades are added to the already numerous models of cellular phones all over the globe. As if that’s not enough, hundreds of phone accessories for the mobile user are also making their way into the market. With all those options, it’s nearly impossible to choose a phone that’s right for you.

Motorola, one of the leading mobile companies on the planet, keeps coming up with ways to reach out to their market. With the release of the Motorola RAZR V3m in 2006 as the latest addition to its high-tech mobile collection, hundreds of subscribers switched to the new model. If you think your cellular phone is about to retire, here are some features of the V3m that will surely make your old unit jealous.

The V3m, like the rest of the RAZR family, has been known for its sleek and slim design. It comes in a variety of colors such as silver, black, and red, among others. The V3m is surprisingly lightweight and compact, and with its clamshell style, it looks cool when closed, and even better when flipped open. The V3m has a large internal memory for 1,000 phone book entries, songs, photos, and videos. A MicroSD card located beneath the battery can give a user up to 1GB of storage. The Lithium Ion battery can let you talk for 200 minutes, and can standby for 325 hours before needing a recharge.

Aside from being a phone, the V3m can also take photos and videos with its 1.3-megapixel digital camera. It can playback videos and store the images to your computer via mini-USB. The 2.2 inch screen with 65,000 color resolution is ideal for watching TV clips, music videos, or movie previous which you can download online. With the help of 3G technology, the RAZR V3m allows you to send and receive multimedia messages and make video calls.

If that’s not enough to make your phone jealous, the V3m has a wide range of accessories available. Hard shell cases and flip cases protect and add style to the phone. LCD scratch removers and screen guards can also extend the life of your V3m. As V3m’s can support GPS navigation, there are windshield mounts and travel chargers available to make driving with the mobile phone safer and easier.

We live in a world where mobile communication has become an essential in our day-to-day routines. Even ordinary cellular phones have evolved to doing more than just making voice calls or sending and receiving messages. Phones have become digital cameras, music players, internet surfing devices, even navigational tools. If these are just a few of the features you look for in a phone, the Motorola RAZR V3m has got more than that! Read on to get to know a model you might get addicted to.

The Motorola RAZR V3m is one of the latest models from the V3 family. Released in the United States in April 2006, the V3m is proud of its new features, making it a step above the rest. The phone is designed for Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) which allows users to surf the internet at high speed, use the radio channel, and navigate through GPS with over 14 millions points of interest.

Does size matter to you? If a bulky phone that creates a bulge in your pocket is a big no-no, the V3m will not be a problem. Its vital statistics are 3.86 x 2.08 x 0.57 inches, nearly the size of a 24-stick pack of chewing gum. The V3m weighs a mere 3.49 ounces. The display screen is 2.2 inches.

Can’t leave home because of limited internet access? The RAZR V3m can fix that in a snap. The CDMA capability gives you the ability to download songs and videos ultra-fast onto your V3m. Plus, you can listen to AM and FM radio wherever you are. If you can’t find anyone to ask for directions, at an additional $10 per month, you can just log on to the GPS system. Your V3m will help you navigate turn by turn with voice instructions over the speaker phone.

How well does the battery perform? Talk addicts, here’s some good news. The V3m’s Lithium Ion battery can withstand 200 minutes of talk time, and can standby for 325 hours. That’s nearly two weeks of not having to worry about where you last left your charger.
Okay, having said that, what about the price? Think it’s hard to get? Service providers like Verizon Wireless offers the Motorola RAZR V3m at $69.99, with the service contract and after the mail-in rebates. A few months later, Sprint and Alltel from the US also made the phone available to their subscribers.

Multimedia is a worldwide term for the various forms that we can get information from. This can range from auditory information to visual data, and the styles can vary based on the interest of the data-gatherer. Nowadays, we get information in hundreds of different forms, not just in black and white. Busy as most of us are, we always look for more ways where we can easily satisfy our need for the information that multimedia brings.

Introducing the Motorola RAZR V3m, it’s a new phone that combines a digital camera, mp3 player, AM/FM radio, and TV in one tiny device. How does it do that? Thanks to the think tank and wise men of Motorola, a V3m user can enjoy all the multimedia he wants, have the cellular phone he needs, without buying other electronics.

First, let’s talk about the display. Multimedia won’t be worth it if you don’t have a clear device to view it from. The RAZR V3m has two LCD screens, one on the outside, and another one when the cover is flipped open. The outside LCD has 96 x 80 pixels resolution, and the inner LCD has 176 x 220 pixels. Both screens can display over 65,000 colors, great for videos and TV shows. Next, the digital camera has 1.3 mega pixels and 4x zoom abilities. It can record up to 15 seconds of video, take pictures in night mode, and has a self-timer. With the LCD screen and camera combined, you can playback videos with the quality a professional does.

Since the RAZR V3m is WAP 2.0 compatible, and is also improved to access the internet faster, music and videos can be downloaded in a snap. Live radio and TV feeds can also be available depending on the service provider, so you can be up-to-date anytime and anywhere. The V3m comes with stereo headsets for your favorite tunes.

To keep at par with your busy schedule and multimedia demands, the V3m has a longer battery life compared to its RAZR cousins. The Lithium Ion battery can support talk time of about 200 minutes, and stand by for 13.5 days. This gives you more time both for making calls, and enjoying your multimedia.

The V3m is considered to be mid-priced. There’s no need to fear. Service providers offer the RAZR V3m at affordable prices, with their subscriptions. Also, service providers offer many features that work well with your V3m, such as live TV and online music stores. If you’re a multi-tasker, then so is the Motorola RAZR V3m, which makes it all the more right for you.
