If you are sitting at your desk, take a quick look around right now. What do you have there? Do you have a clock? A calendar? Post-it notes? A framed photo? What about your to-do list? OK, but do you have Twitter on your desk?

Twitter? Well, maybe my physical desk where I’m sitting to write this doesn’t exactly have twitter just built into it, but My Desk for the iPhone does.

Right about now you might be thinking you don’t need yet another organizational application, but this one is a bit different than most. While most of them seem to rely on the list system, allowing you to make up to-do lists and such, this application really does act much more like your real desk.

First of all, it can be as simple or as cluttered as you choose to make it. Choose the style of your desk, then define what you are going to put on it. If you don’t want Twitter to show up on your desk, it doesn’t have to. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want it, but hey, it’s your desk.

You can use this application to open up a page and take a quick note, then leave that right on “your desk” where you can address it the next time you go there. Just like in real life, except now you can see what’s on your desk even when you’re on line at the DMV.

There are a bunch of tools you can use in My Desk, including a calendar that you can sync to Google calendar, a clock, battery monitor, music player, and more. There are even some frivolous things like a cup of coffee and a lady bug that flies over periodically just to break up the monotony.

And if you end up with too many notes and things on your desk, there is a search feature to help you find what you need. Now if only someone could create one of those for my physical desk…

You can get My Desk for only $2.99 today at the iTunes Store. Just go to http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-desk-all-in-one-desk/id334979425?mt=8
